The New and Emerging Talent Initiative (NETI) is an entry point into a career with the UN agency UNICEF in international development. In this three year career track program, participants will recieve one month of training at UNICEF’s New York headquarters and then be deployed to an in country assignment for the remainder of the first year. If this time is successful, participants will continue on for two more years in talent specific groups and have top priority for job openings.
The NETI program is currently looking for general application in addition to 8 talent specific job areas. Salary benefits are dependent on experience and job placement. Selected participants will begin the 2012 NETI program in February or March of 2012. Candidates chosen from the first roound of applicants will then be asked to take a written test, followed by an interview. NETI participants will receive training sessions, personal coaching, and mentoring to ensure their success in the program and their personal and professional development.
Eligibility: *you are looking are an entry to mid level professional
*you are under 35 years old
*you are interested in an international career working for UNICEF or another UN agency
*you have completed a Master’s degree
*you are proficient in English and another official language of the United Nations i.e., Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish
*you are able to live and work in any UNICEF office worldwide, including hardship duty stations.
*If you are seeking higher level positions you will need relevant years of experience in the field.
